Aurora Jianzhan Coffee Cup

The Aurora Coffee Cup pairs a compact 200 ml form with a luminous glaze that moves between gold, violet and rose as the light changes. Its galaxy-like surface gives the piece a strong visual identity while keeping it practical for everyday coffee or tea.

Glaze Character

The finish has a galaxy-like, iridescent aurora character, with gold, violet and rose tones that shift with the light. Because the glaze develops during high-temperature firing, color balance and surface pattern can vary naturally from piece to piece. These variations are part of the handmade process rather than defects.

Made in Shuiji, Jianyang

Each cup is hand-thrown by experienced local artisans in Shuiji, Jianyang, Fujian, using iron-rich clay and fired at temperatures around 1300°C. The cup uses a food-safe glaze and belongs to the Jian ware tradition associated with the historic ceramic culture of Jianyang.
